HABER 800 Cutter
The HABER 800 was originally designed as a gaff sloop. However, we soon discovered the possibility of installing a cutter version with an additional, larger head sail – the HABER 800 gaff cutter. Adding the bowsprit enabled us to use a large genoa with area of ca. 22 m² for light winds. This together with the basic set of sails gives a total of ca. 55m² sails’ area. As a result of this, the yacht’s performance in medium and light winds was greatly improved. The use of telescopic head sail booms additionally increases the efficiency of this sails. This type of rigging makes the boat look even more graceful.
It is also possible to build a HABER 800 yacht with a sluter sail. In this case, the yacht is equipped with a standard mainsail and jib and an additional genoa of 16 m². The Genoa is flown from the bow of the yacht to the top of the mast. A shorter anchor platform can be fitted in place of the bowsprit.
The HABER 800 cutter was especially designed to cope with a wide range of conditions: inland-, coastal-, and offshore waters. It is available in both the CE-category C (coastal waters) and B (outside offshore).
In both cases, optionally with the C4 self-steering system.
